MYSTERY OF CREATION

In these three chapters, we shall see the events of creations, and beginning of man and Satan’s invasion to the earth. Man was first conceived in God as an abstract idea or notion. Which means, Man was a spiritual concept of God. God is spirit. Therefore, any thing that has to do with Him is spirit. The foremost of this idea was for the domination on earth. Man was not conceived to live in heaven, but on earth. To rule and dominate. Hence, there inbuilt quality of man, his capacity, his wiring was for the earth. Just as a car is designed to run on roads and not on railroads, water ways and air. An aero plane is designed to fly. If any is taken to where it is not designed for, it will malfunction. As a spirit, man cannot function on earth without an earthy body. Anything that would function on earth must have an earthy body as a rule. God, Himself, cannot carry out anything on earth without an earthy body. His idea cannot be realized on earth without a body. For His plan to work, he needed an earthy body. You may wonder why this is so. Reason will be in another discussion. But as a clue, dark spirits were to be barred from the earth. But if they don’t have an earthy body, it will be impossible for them.

For the earth to be convenient for man, God created many things by His word. He formed things also by the same word. These are the happenings in Genesis chapter one. As soon as the earth was prepared for the comfort of man, that entity (idea in Him) which is the spirit in Him had to manifest. God then talked to Himself; God the Father, God the Son (Word) and God the Holy Spirit.

Genesis 1:26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

They formed or made the body from the earth and released the idea within (a spirit) as a breath into the earthy body.

Genesis 2:7 “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

As soon as the breath entered the formed earthy body, a soul was created, which got its living from the life of the breath.  So, here, the Spirit of God carried out the making from the a raw material, the earth and God’s breath of God gives life.

Job 33:4 “The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.”

In this simple understanding, we could see that man has:

1. A spirit.
2. A soul
3. A body

We quite understand the body. We also understand the spirit now, a part of God. But the soul may  not be so clear to many.

The Spirit

God is spirit and to connect Him, we need something like Him or of Him. For instance, the only part on our body built for sight are the eyes. They cannot perceive sound waves except there is something that will interpret the sound, such as scientific graphical representation. The part of us that is designed specifically to detect sound waves are the ears. If the ears became deaf, the person is dead to sound waves.

Same way with the spirit in man. The only part of man that could relate with God, i.e., designed to contact God is the spirit of man. If this spirit became dead, man is dead to God and where there is death, life is the only thing needful there.

The Soul

This is intangible. It houses the spirit of man. It is in the blood of man. It carries the life for the body. It is who we are. It is created by the breath of God. This is what expresses who we are. It comprises three aspects of us.

1. The Mind
2. The Emotion, and
3. The Will.

None of these aspects communicates directly with God because they are not created to do that. But the mind communicates with spirit of man, other spirits and the environment. The response of its communication is the emotion and the action of the emotion is the Will, the most powerful. If a mind receives a provocative info, the emotion reacts, and the will expresses it. If the will is curbed, then it is said that the man has control over.

The Body

This carries the five senses of man to relate with the environment.

As we read in Genesis chapter 3, man lost the glory he carried at creation and his power was defiled. Satan is spirit also. He could function on earth without an earthy body. He, however, succeeded in negotiating for the body of the serpent through which he related with man. All animals came from the earth by God’s command.

Genesis 2:19 “And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.”

No spirit in them. Through the serpent, man’s spirit died, a relationship was broken and Satan encroached the soul of man, using the power of the soul to carry out his evil enterprise on earth. Man became dead to the righteous God and enslaved to Satan through sin. Death entered the earth.

Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: …. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.”

We inherited death because the above says, “…, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, …”

To cover the sin, instead of the leaves Adam and Eve used (Genesis 3:7), and restore the injured relationship, a life was needed.  The only source of life is the blood. Which simply means there has to be an atonement for the soul of man. The soul of man was under siege by the power of iniquity.

Leviticus 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”

God killed an animal and used the skin(Genesis 3:21) to cover the nakedness of man because the glory that was covering before fall had departed. The shed blood was to repair the injury and restore the relationship.

Remember that these are all of animals. They are not strong enough to remove the sin, nor powerful to stop sin.

The Life

God cannot stand sin because it is Satan’s identity. It has become his nature.

1 John 3:8 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

Through sin, Satan acquires and possesses. Therefore, whoever sin only identifies with Satan. Here we see that it was the soul that sinned and enslaved. Deliverance is needed here. For as long as a man remains in sin, there is no relationship with God. No matter the number of rams and goats slaughtered as sacrifice, God does not delight in them. He wants the relationship as in the beginning back.

Isaiah 1:11 “To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.”

When man fall, he suffered three devastating blows.

1. His spirit was dead to God and therefore lost the glory of God

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

2. His soul was invaded by darkness
3. His body received the curse of death and sickness entered.

Man needed redemption in this condition. He needed life for the dead spirit, deliverance for the enslaved soul and healing for the sick body.

This is the reason for the Son of God to come to the world. He is a spirit also, and therefore, he needed a body. God, Himself, prepared a body for Him.

Hebrews 10:5 “Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:”

He is the true sacrifice that God cannot despise. He carried the blood of life to repair the injured relationship and a body for the healing of man.

Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

1 John 5:11 “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”

There is only one way back to God and that is Jesus. There is only one life for our salvation and that is of His shed blood. There is only one route to eternal life, and that is to believe and be born again. By this, the seed is planted to break the power of sin and to yield the fruit of righteousness

1 John 3:9 “Whoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”

Beloved, believe Jesus’ testimony of Himself which is true.

John 14:6-7 “Jesus saith to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”

John 3:15 “That whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
